Privacy Policy

Kas Wallet is a self-custodial wallet for the Kaspa network. It is designed so that we never receive your data in the first place. There is no account, no email address, no phone number, and no server-side profile of you.

1. Data we do not collect

We collect nothing. Specifically, Kas Wallet contains:

  • No analytics or product-usage tracking SDKs.
  • No advertising identifiers, attribution frameworks, or third-party trackers.
  • No crash or performance telemetry sent to us.
  • No account registration, contact details, or contact-book access.

Because we operate no user-facing servers, we hold no personal data about you and therefore have nothing to sell, share, or hand over.

2. Data stored on your device

Your BIP-39 recovery phrase is generated entirely on your device. Keys are encrypted with AES-GCM and stored in the iPhone Keychain with this-device-only protection. Transactions are signed locally using BIP-340 Schnorr signatures. Face ID or Touch ID is used to unlock the app and to authorize every send, and you may add an optional spend password derived with PBKDF2.

Wallet names, address labels, currency choice, appearance and network settings are stored locally on your device. Uninstalling the app removes this local data — keep your recovery phrase written down offline before you do.

3. Network connections

Kas Wallet makes only two kinds of outbound request:

  • A public Kaspa node, to read balances and transaction history for your addresses and to broadcast transactions you have signed.
  • A public price API, to display the KAS market price, chart, and fiat conversion.

These services necessarily see the network-level information inherent in any internet request, such as your IP address, and their own operators' policies apply to that. Kas Wallet never transmits your recovery phrase, private keys, spend password, or any personal identifier to them or to anyone else.

4. Blockchain data is public

Transactions you broadcast are recorded permanently on the public Kaspa ledger and can be viewed by anyone. This is a property of the network, not of Kas Wallet, and it cannot be undone or deleted.

5. Screen privacy

A privacy screen automatically obscures balances and activity when the app is moved to the background, so wallet contents do not appear in the iOS app switcher.

6. Children

Kas Wallet is not directed at children under 13, and we knowingly collect no data from anyone, including children.

7. Your rights

Rights such as access, correction, deletion, and portability under the GDPR, CCPA, and similar laws apply to personal data held by a company. We hold none, so there is nothing for us to retrieve or erase. All of your wallet data lives on your device and is under your sole control.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be published on this page with a new revision date. Continued use of the app after a change indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

9. Contact
